Occold Parish Council is an elected body whose primary function is to ensure that the Parish is efficiently and economically run and are funded by levying a “precept” collected from within the council tax paid by the residents of the parish.

Parish councils are made up of Councillors who give their time freely and are elected to serve for four years.
Occold Parish Council has nine seats fall but one currently filed by Occold residents who represent the community and have a statutory responsibility for certain aspects of the village.
